2-year apprenticeship at Studio B Pilates

Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) since 2014

Anatomy in 3-Dimensions Master Instructor (since 2017)

BA in Dance from UW-Stevens Point

I grew up in New Richmond, WI before moving to Stevens Point to earn my BA in dance from UW-Stevens Point. I started doing Pilates to rehab a chronic hip and back injury while attending the university. Through regular Pilates practice my pain disappeared and I was able to continue dancing unhindered by my injury. After graduation I decided to pursue a career as a Pilates Instructor.

I love working with all the people that come through my doors but I especially love working with those that have chronic pain, whether they're rehabbing an injury, recovering from surgery or just have everyday pain that won't go away. I know the hopelessness and resignation that can come from living in that place of constant pain, and from visiting doctors with no success. I love seeing that hope restored as my students become stronger and the pain recedes or vanishes entirely.

My family and I moved to Eau Claire in Nov 2019 after living in Fort Collins, CO for over 5 years. We love being back in Wisconsin and near family again. It has been fun exploring a new city and we look forward to continue getting to know this community. My husband and I have three little girls 8 and under.

KATHERINE HERBISON

Pilates Teacher

Comprehensive Pilates Certificate from The Lab (500 hours)

Katherine received her certification from The LAB training program in Chicago, Illinois. She started her Pilates journey back in 2020 after dealing with chronic knee pain from a running injury for a decade. Through Pilates, she was able to gain more strength and reduce knee pain, and she fell in love with how Pilates made her feel. She decided to follow her passion of helping women and further grow in her knowledge of the Pilates practice by becoming an instructor. She wants to bring to clients what Pilates has done for her — strength, energy, mobility, and joy. When not doing Pilates, Katherine is at home with her young son and husband. She loves hiking, camping, lifting weights, cooking, and going to the farmers market. Katherine also has a B.S. in Social Work from St. Olaf College.
