BA in Dance from UW-Stevens Point

I grew up in New Richmond, WI before moving to Stevens Point to earn my BA in dance from UW-Stevens Point. I started doing Pilates to rehab a chronic hip and back injury while attending the university. Through regular Pilates practice my pain disappeared and I was able to continue dancing unhindered by my injury. After graduation I decided to pursue a career as a Pilates Instructor.

I love working with all the people that come through my doors but I especially love working with those that have chronic pain, whether they're rehabbing an injury, recovering from surgery or just have everyday pain that won't go away. I know the hopelessness and resignation that can come from living in that place of constant pain, and from visiting doctors with no success. I love seeing that hope restored as my students become stronger and the pain recedes or vanishes entirely.

My family and I moved to Eau Claire in Nov 2019 after living in Fort Collins, CO for over 5 years. We love being back in Wisconsin and near family again. It has been fun exploring a new city and we look forward to continue getting to know this community. My husband and I have three little girls 8 and under.

Currently Pursuing Comprehensive Pilates Certificate from Balanced Body Education (500 hours)
E.L. Pilates Apprentice Teacher, Feb 2025

Erica Templeton’s discovery of Pilates ignited her passion for movement. She was immediately captivated by it’s ability to enhance core strength, refine movement patterns, and cultivate a deeper mind-body connection. As an avid Equestrian, she had sought ways of improving her riding abilities outside of the saddle. Pilates has helped her transform her physical capabilities, allowing her to have greater precision and confidence when riding. In addition, it has instilled a sense of discipline and self-awareness that extends into all aspects of her life.
Currently, Erica is immersed in the Balance Body Teacher Training program where she is excited for continued education, exploring new challenges and deepening her understanding of this transformative practice. She will be student teaching at EL Pilates starting in February 2025. She is eager to share her passion and help others discover the power Pilates can have on your life!
